Dun Wang: San Francisco

What’s your historical San Francisco and New York connection?
I lived in NYC for 9 years and worked in VC/startups for the last 5. When the company I was at got acquired by an SF company, I decided to move out west. I have been in SF for almost 2 years and love it here.

Describe your experience in SF and your experience in NYC.
In SF, I spend a lot of time being outdoors and active. My lifestyle revolves around daytime activities, such as running and biking, skiing in the winter and Napa/beach in the summer. In NYC, my lifestyle was primarily drinking and going to bars/clubs. I am much healthier in SF that I was in NYC in all aspects of my life, including diet, fitness, hobbies and even the general group of friends I hang out with.

What was the biggest challenge of moving between NYC and SF?
No huge challenges, but any move requires a period of adjustment.

How can NYC and SF best engage with each other?
There are lots of NYC expats here in SF, and we tend to gravitate towards each other already.
