Security Check: Andrea Dibben refers to herself as “Jack of All Trades” at Decisive, a real-time bidding mobile traffic source dealing with a whole lot of data. Her focus is marketing, but since they’re a small team, she gets her hands on many parts of the company, which she loves!
What’s your historical London and New York connection?
My parents met in London long ago when my mom was traveling around Europe playing guitar in a folk band and met my dad in a wine bar in London. For a while they wrote letters across the Atlantic and were married in secret before my dad took a flight back to London and my mom stayed in the US. They’ve been happily married now for 34 years.
How can New York and London better engage with each other?
In my co-working space right now we are about 30% Brit in NYC. I think we are doing very well!
Favorite NYC secret spot: I love the public libraries! The Mulberry St. and Jefferson Market Library are beautiful and great for a 3rd space during the winter in NYC.
Favorite London secret spot: Chelsea Library. I took a friend back to where I worked on Kings Road and we stopped into the Library and became witnesses for a wedding going on next door!
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Ooo. So many choices. I think I would like South America for a while. I need to practice my Spanish.
