Makerversity: London

Makerversity is an alternate hands-on learning experience for young people, located in the iconic Somerset House by the River Thames. Things were never quite right in traditional mainstream education, this inspired the need for Makerversity. They aim to inspire the next generation by supplementing their educational experiences by giving children access to more hands-on activities particularly with technology. The programme includes partnerships with Princes Trust, V&A and the British Council, internships and work placements with member businesses as well as talks, tours and workshops at their labs.

The labs provides space for creative and innovative small businesses on top of the learning space. The facilities for the members include a deskspace, sound studio, photo studio, assembly space and a digital workshop. It is the classroom of the future.
