What’s your historical London and New York connection?
I’m a born and bred Londoner. I orginally came to New York for 6 months…but that was 7 years ago.
Describe your experience in New York as a Londoner:
I love the energy of New York – it’s so positive. You feel a charge in the air and it’s infectious. The difference between London and New York attitudes? If I were to walk into a bar in New York and announce that I wanted to become an astronaut I’d be met with cheers of ‘you go girl – follow your dreams!’
If I made the same statement in London? ‘Shut up and sit down – you’re drunk.’ I find both responses equally endearing.
How can New York and London better engage with each other?
They are kindred cities so I think we’re off to a good start. London has really changed over the last few years, more so than New York. Business wise, I feel US businesses tend to be very US-centric and they should start seeing London less like a satellite and more like the global hub that it is.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I’m of Greek origin so it’s a little dream of mine to spend some time on one of my favourite Greek islands – Sifnos. It’s gorgeous. And is much better than how it sounds.
