What’s your historical London and New York connection?
I moved to News Corporation in New York from News International in London at the start of May 2013.

Describe your experience in New York as a Londoner.
I have fallen in love with New York, the people, the food, a girl, the always on vibe, the can do attitude and amazing service. My life would no longer be complete without same day delivery, 4G LTE, Sunday brunch, and cheap cabs. I now get frustrated by tourists walking slowly on the sidewalk, hate Times Square and can’t understand how I lived without the grid system.

How can New York and London better engage with each other?
Do they need to?

Favorite NYC secret spot: Joseph Leonard – a great Sunday Brunch place. Get there early to avoid the wait.

Favorite London secret spot: The Wapping Project – A hidden gem in an amazing building, great food and fantastic art installations.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Right now, New York. An amazing city which felt like “home” after only a few weeks. So vibrant, and an amazing place to people watch. The variety and quality of restaurants is superb and everything seems within waking distance.

In flight entertainment:

What’s playing in your headphones right now? I am a Spotify addict and add many playlists to aid discovery. My most played album at present is The XX – Coexist.

And what are you currently reading? I am a news junkie: The Times and WSJ apps are my essential reading. My current book is Customers Included: How to Transform Products, Companies, and the World – With a Single Step.
